The skilled Minstrel can manipulate the emotions of an audience with a well placed note.

Just as a painter can formulate and paint an idea pulling one into the very depths of the work

 or a poet can captivate the listener with the spoken and written word, transporting them into an alternate reality.

Music is a form of communication that is able to cut through language, age, economic, cultural and gender barriers. It can transmit conscience and subliminal messages that can influence the behavior of individuals or groups. The message could be a heathy message one that encourages or heighten the individuals awareness, sense of being and emotional attitude.

Then music can also be used as a tool to transmit negative messages to the hearer. Some examples are

those that express the desire to take ones life, commit a crime, live a certain life style, a belief or a lack of belief in anything above or below the threshold of consciousness and understanding.

Psalms 100 says "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
